MSP 9th Batch participated in UNDOU-KAI
24 June, 2024
Undou-kai: What is it? This activity is an annual school event in Japan. However, it's new to the MSP 9th batch students. We took part in the activity at Misonou Elementary School in Higashi Hiroshima. This event was attended by not just elementary school students, but also parents and local residents. As Hiroshima International Plaza (HIP) residents, we had the opportunity to participate in this event as well as other HIP trainees.
"The theme for today's activity is Striving!' In her speech, Misonou Elementary School's Principal encouraged students to do their best and strive until the end. This message was highlighted to all participants, especially the 6th-grade kids who led the activity. However, this message can also be applied to lecture activities that MSP students have begun participating in to increase their enthusiasm for learning. The activity proceeded smoothly and energetically, with enthusiasm from the participants and the public.
Students, parents, and members of the local community also warmly welcomed HIP participants. Mingling with groups of people in the region allows us, as foreigners, to learn about Japanese culture, especially during School Sports Day.
