The 10th batch MSP students visited the Japan Coast Guard Museum Yokohama.
03 February, 2025
On January 9th, the MSP students visited the Japan Coast Guard Museum Yokohama. The museum displays the North Korean spy ship and the records of the JCG's response to it. At the museum, they learned about a series of circumstances and the background of the spy ship incident that occurred off the southwest coast of Kyushu. They also learned about the characteristics of the JCG’s procedure of the use of weapons, such as the procedure for firing warning shots.
January was the end of the autumn term, and with final exams and term papers for each class, the MSP students were all very busy. However, with the cooperation of the relevant departments in the field, they have been given the opportunity to learn about the work of the Japan Coast Guard first-hand. There are only about two months left at GRIPS, but they will continue to work hard to acquire deeper knowledge.
