Qualifications
On graduating from Coast Guard Academy, cadets can acquire any of the following qualifications.
- Bachelor's degree of Maritime Safety.
- Requirements for admission to graduate schools.
- Exemption from preliminary test to the State Law Examination.
- The 1st Class Small Craft Operator.
One of the following qualifications proper to each specialized Cluster.
| Cluster 1 (Navigation) | The 3rd Class Marine Engineer (Navigation) (exempted from written test). |

| Cluster 3 (Information and Communications) | The 1st Class Radio Operator for on-the-sea Services (exempted from basic radio engineering, telecommunications, English). The 1st Class Technical Radio Operator for on-the-ground Services (exempted from basic radio engineering). The Radio Operator for in-the-air Services. |
